What data does Filefae collect?
None of your files. We only process what is essential to connect the devices and, if you accept, anonymous usage statistics. Privacy policy
Do I need to install an app?
No. Filefae works directly in your browser.
Do I need Bluetooth or proximity?
No. Both devices only need an internet connection.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the link and start sharing. Creating an account is optional: it raises the per-file limit and lets you connect to your devices in one click.
Are my files stored on a server?
No. Files travel directly between devices.
Does it work on any device?
Yes. Use any modern browser on mobile or desktop.
What if the connection is lost?
What you already received is kept. Open the link again and reconnect: you can send the files that were missing again.
Can I send several files at once?
Yes, up to 100 per transfer. The other device accepts or rejects them all at once, they are sent one after another and you see the progress of each file and the total.
What is quick connect?
If you sign in, every browser you use is saved as one of your devices. When two are open, one asks to connect to the other with no QR or link and the other accepts. After that, every transfer is confirmed as usual.
Is there a file-size limit?
Yes: 512 MB per file as a guest, or 2 GB per file if you sign in with your free account. The limit is per file, not per transfer: you can send several files at once.
How long does a link last?
It expires automatically after the session ends.
